Sounds of Hell: The Siberia Recordings
In October 2002, a listener of Art Bell’s Coast to Coast AM radio show wrote in with a personal story warning listeners about the “sounds of hell” tapes that had been recorded many years before.
The story goes that during a drilling expedition in the 1980’s, Russian geologists had dug somewhere between 7 to 9 miles into the earth where temperatures read near 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit. The geologists lowered a microphone to record extra data.
What they heard was entirely different from what they had expected.
